The Role Responsibilities

The role holder is part of Wealth Management Core platform tribe and participate actively in the delivery of Core Platform tribe roadmap as well as lead/support the achievement of Tribe OKRs for the respective project support CAPE 

As an empowered decision maker, Product expert is accountable for maximising the business value of their product.PE-specific responsibilities include:

  • Is a core member of the squad, 100% dedicated to the role

  • Ensure the voices of clients and relevant stakeholders are represented

  • Optimise value delivery through continuous improvement, gathering feedback from relevant stakeholders / SMEs / customers and prioritisation of backlog and support project delivery

  • Create transparency around progress, blockers, impediments, dependencies

  • Present at all required ceremonies / events to provide early and continuous feedback and prioritisation

  • Working with the Scrum Master and squad members to build an empowered, high performing team in a psychologically safe environment

  • Ensure all artefacts and assurance deliverables are as per the required standards and policies (e.g. nWOWS, CGP)

  • Ensure post project support and successful implementation, to be made fungible to continue wealth operation portfolio supporting complete operations activity

  • Maintain strong stakeholder engagement with WM Business, COO/ Operations, T&I, Risk & Compliance and Group Internal Audit to ensure alignment across stakeholder groups to support the tribe deliverables

  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

  • Lead and support a change in mindset, building a culture of client centricity, agility, and accountability through standardised metrics and measurement

  • Demonstrate and act as a role model of the Group’s values and culture in the region

  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

  • Tribe Lead, Tribe Tech lead

  • Product owners / Scrum masters

  • Business stakeholders

  • Functional Partners including Operations, T&I, Risk, Compliance, HR, Finance, Legal, Audit, etc. 

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 10+ years of experience in Change & Transformation with a blend of Business Analysis in the Banking Operations

  • Experience working with Technology project teams & Business stakeholders across levels

  • Experience in managing Agile methodologies – Waterfall, Scrum Master & PMP equivalent

  • Domain knowledge in Finance & Accounting entries for Wealth Management products like Mutual Funds, Fixed Income, Structured products, etc.

  • Experience in Accounting entries & Financial reporting & integration with GRU Reconciliation and review of Review of P&L MIS reports, Trading Balance Sheet Reconciliation controls & adjustments sent to Management & Finance Control

Role Specific Technical Competencies

  • Accounting rules logic, mapping & ownership (trade balance sheet to cash accounting)

  • PSGL (T24 system)

  • Balance Substantiation (importance, process, ownership)

  • Transaction Processing Systems (Source system)-GL recon process

  • FOBO, FOFO

  • Sell down, journals, PnL analysis & reporting

  • Background on product control team will be advantageous

  • New product onboarding (overall process, approvals, account creation/ownership and articulated accounting driven by business events within the trade life cycle)

  • Worked on agile methodology with Cross functional collaboration with New Business, Front Office Platform

  • Team, Front Office COOs, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Operations, Reference
