Overview
The E-Commerce Manager will oversee the E-Commerce operations portfolio of Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts across all brands. This global role from the headquarters will also entail oversight into other business units such as Spa and Gallery.
Reporting to the Head of E-Commerce, this position will be the central lead for operations across various revenue-generating sites such as website updates, project management, data analysis and governance of online support to properties/BUs. This role will be a key enabler in shaping digital transformation within the organization and driving global consistency of E-Commerce initiatives.
Job Description:
- Plan and execute E-Commerce activities calendar alongside stakeholders
- Leverage E-Commerce and analytics platforms to maximize sales opportunities
- Manage reporting needs such as but not limited to regular KPIs tracking and analysis, user journey analysis, competitor monitoring etc
- Project management lead for new website development projects
- Oversee website enhancements and troubleshooting of website issues
- Management of content updates via various CMS platforms
- Key liaison with hotels/BUs to manage requests such as publishing approvals, hotels openings/closure, campaign support etc
- Conduct regular website audits and guide hotels/BUs in website maintenance to achieve operational excellence
- Develop E-Commerce manuals and conduct training, when required
- Oversee other online channels such as but not limited to: Essentials Shopify store and e-gifting site
Job Requirements:
- E-Commerce operations experience in B2C environments, preferably with a min of 6 years working experience
- Experience in managing diverse markets and working with multiple stakeholders across various countries and functions
- High level of proficiency in project management
- Solid experience across various Content Management Systems, E-Commerce platforms and analytics tools (eg. Google Analytics, heat maps etc)
- Experience in various website optimisation techniques
- Ability to multi-task and work in changing environments
- Attention to detail, resourcefulness and can-do mindset
- Solid ability in both written and verbal communication in English. Proficiency in Mandarin a plus
