About the Department
The Channels & Digitalization function enables end-to-end seamless connectivity for UOB customers across all physical and digital touchpoints of the Bank. Designed to be in tune with our customers’ banking preferences, we strive to enhance engagement and deliver exemplary experiences across our network of branches, self-service machines and digital platforms. We collaborate with FinTech ecosystem partners to keep abreast of developments in the FinTech innovation space and to embed ourselves in our customers’ lives. We also harness customer insights to help us deliver new business models and digital innovations, and to build deeper relationships with our customers.

Job Responsibilities
You will be part of the Tech Ecosystem & Innovation Group responsible for helping to craft UOB’s strategy for banking in the digital world and supporting Group Channels and Digitalisation leadership in business support matters, focusing on building ecosystem partnerships to augment UOB’s franchise, and operationalising The FinLab, UOB’s innovation lab.
The role will report into Innovation Lab & Partnerships team, and support the wider Tech Ecosystem & Innovation Group in projects.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, strategize and execute the Smart Business Transformation programmes in Singapore and the region with The FinLab team, and work with the participating Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) participants in the programmes. Represent The FinLab and UOB in establishing strategic alliances with partners to deliver the programme.
  • Represent UOB either as primarily project manager working closely with team mates (from Business units in the bank) to catalyse ideas, initiatives and use cases to collaborate with Ecosystem partners to create win-win solutions for the partner and for the UOB Business Unit. This involves multi-facet collaboration with external parties.
  • Providing support and being the liaison for UOB pertaining to all matters of The FinLab and vice versa, including legal and compliance and finance and administrative matters.
  • Managing and coordinating the discussions on innovation labs, ecosystems and The FinLab’s programmes with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Take on projects such as Digitalisation events, etc. in addition to conducting research and keeping the larger teams abreast on Tech Ecosystem trends, policies and developments in Singapore and the region.
  • Driving key strategies and deliverables for marketing, communication, content and tools for the Finlab Online.

Job Requirements
  • Minimum degree holder, with 10 years of relevant banking experience, preferably including experience in SME and corporate banking or experience in Fintech ecosystem, strategy and consulting.
  • Understanding of the Tech ecosystem landscape and new business models, and its developments in Singapore and the region.
  • Self-motivated, able to work as a team and do well in both start-up and corporate environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to build rapport and comfortable driving projects with internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage and plan multiple projects and discussions.
  • Able to deliver outcomes during phases of high intensity.
