About the Department
The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.
Job Responsibilities
The Business Analyst is the enabler to new ways of working within the group to drive efficiencies and improvements. The successful candidate for this role must be comfortable with understanding existing manual ways of working and come up with new improved ways of working, introducing automation and improving productivity.
- • Maintaining the documentation of business processes
- • Collaborate to elicit and review business requirements
- • Translate high-level requirements into detailed documentation
- • Define detailed functional and non-functional requirements based on business requirements.
- • Evaluate and analyze existing business processes and uncover areas for improvements.
- • Design, develop and deploy processes and enable operational tasks
- • Provide solutions to issues/challenges faced by business in terms of process, technology and
- • Develop/build reports or automate reports that are produced manually today
- • Monitor and manage risks/issues
- • Perform process and quality assurance for scope within function
- • Support management with reporting needs
- • Create, update and maintain project related documentations and communications
- • Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve operations
Job Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science/engineering/information technology or
- • Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving and process design skills
- • Excellent documentation skills.
- • Technical expertise in using MS Office Suite, SQL, MS Access, MS Sharepoint and
- dashboarding tools (QlikSense, MS Power BI)
- • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- • Able to work independently with minimum supervision
- • Familiar with project management fundamentals
- • Understands both Agile and Waterfall methodology
- • Strong written and oral communication skills
- • Have good interpersonal skills.
