OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE OF JOB
The business intelligence (BI) analysts will help the leadership team by using the data we collect to understand trends, solve business problems, and monitor metrics.
He/She will assist with determining the data the company requires then structuring it in an appropriate format to analyse the data using and writing queries, and creating reports and visualizations for company decision-makers using Dashboarding software such as PowerBI or Google DataStudio.
KEY ACTIVITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Research Market Trends
You will help the management team to stay current with what customers demand in the industry, what competitors and their own companies do in the industry. You will research and analyze market trends using our customer data, internet, news, and business publications, and they sometimes interview stakeholders and professional organizations to get more information directly.
Determine Business Information Needs and assist with Data Collection and Modeling
You will discuss and define which information and metrics the company need to collects from its customers and suppliers and which information would help managers make better financial, customer, and marketing decisions. This process will also involve determining the right KPIs and approach for presenting data to management and customers (PMO support) and which analytical tools offer the most potential. You will also work with databases, run complex queries on the company’s databases to sort and filter data. You will then analyze and interpret the results to
look for patterns and determine if the findings answer the business’s questions and are accurate.
Create Reports and Data Visualizations
You will use the findings from performing research and analyzing data, to create reports that the management can use to monitor the company’s metrics and make decisions. You will also have to use computer programming languages to create data visualizations in the form of charts and web dashboard applications that help the company track trends.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
The candidate will work close with the operations team to design and maintain all needed customer PMO dashboards

QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING
Bachelor’s degree in engineering majors / computer science / Econometrics or similar relevant field
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
3-5 years’ of experience
Database knowledge – strong SQL knowledge required to query complex Databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, Oracle. Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, CouchDB is a plus.
ETL – Extract Transform and Load, you will need to prepare data flows to support your analysis and convert static analysis in a repeatable way scaling up the repository of Analysis
Data analysis – analytical techniques to inspect and sort data into a useful format and to create reports and visualizations that help solve business problems
Coding – Expertise at least one of Python, R, JavaScript is required.
Experience using APIs – From CRM integration APIs such as Hubspot APIs to Google Ads, passing by LinkedIn Marketing Platform APIs, you should be proficient at analysing and implementing scalable data extractions from different systems
Dashboarding – 2+ years or experience using a Dashboarding solution such as PowerBI, Google Data Studio, Tableau, Qlik, MSTR
Problem-solving skills – strong problem-solving skills to decide how to take available data and use analytical techniques to answer business questions and make informed decisions.
Communication skills – communicating findings with management and writing clear, comprehensive reports showing results from your data analyses
