Job Title: Client Executive


SUMMARY

A client-facing role, he/she will assist in managing and driving client relationships, provide strategic and tactical advice, and is responsible in implementation of the communications solutions. From writing and selling in press releases to media to running social media campaigns, the role will need to have an eye for detail and accuracy, feel comfortable multi-tasking, and be undaunted by shifting priorities.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Influencer Engagement:
• Serve as day-to-day contact for media/influencers; share knowledge with team

• Develop further understanding of influencers & issues globally

• Conduct outreach relevant to integrated marketing or other campaign tactics

• Oversee management of reactive requests, proactively influence & garner coverage

• Provide timely and in-depth analysis of coverage results & trends

• Craft & customize influencer pitches & social media content

• Contribute ideas & brainstorm on media/ influencer strategies


Client Engagement:

• Begin anticipating client communication challenges & develop recommendations

• Contribute to development & implementation of communication strategies

• Execute tasks associated with projects; may lead certain aspects of project

• Oversee client meetings, agendas & recaps

• Begin to understand clients’ business model from a global perspective; understand key markets, global influencers and the impact on client/business narrative


Digital & Social Acumen:

• Monitor, report & provide insight on competitor & issue-specific social media activities, unique & creative uses of social campaigns or emerging technologies as necessary

• Draft & finalize social media content for agency-managed client accounts Client Engagement

• Begin engaging & increasing client-facing interactions

• Develop final internal & external materials including action emails & recaps for internal & external clients

• Read & report coverage & issue developments

• Offer increased level of analysis & strategic recommendations based on industry knowledge


Business Acumen and Strategic Thinking:

• Less oversight & fewer edits required on entry-level projects

• Refine analytic capabilities

• Materials & contributions reflect understanding of client/industry landscapes & ability to connect the dots

• Integrate & gather information across teams, clients & partners as needed for projects


New Business Development:
• Become familiar with WE capabilities across the agency including global region specialties in comparison to competitor agencies
• Serve in a lead research role on organic growth new business efforts including sourcing and gathering audience, industry or competitor market data
• Begin to develop and nurture network of peer contacts outside the agency


People Leadership:
• Take accountability for role on projects
• Begin gaining management skills by mentoring junior level staff i.e. interns
• Model agency values, be a peer resource to staff, interns & new hires
• Demonstrate ability to give/accept feedback
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously


REQUIREMENTS
• A minimum of Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or Business in Marketing
• A minimum of at least 1-2 years of working experience in the communications field, preferably from a PR agency setting environment
• Good grasp of all basic public relations tools and social media strategies
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced team environment (frequent tight deadlines, multitasking, etc)
• Ability to write and communicate well in English
