Lead the top and bottom-line growth agenda for multiple fast growing highly segmented and complex global Lead the top and bottom-line growth agenda for multiple fast growing Coca-Cola categories and brands. This role is responsible of building and directing a robust innovation pipeline in partnership with the GDI global network, Global Category & OU Marketing, Strategy, Human Insights, Global Supply Chain, and Research-to-Experimentation. Category Pipelines are expected to deliver sufficiency to drive incremental growth from Innovation, as well as business continuity, and productivity solutions. Accountable for category product and package competitive benchmarking in markets, ensuring Coca-Cola portfolio remains highly competitive. Orchestrator of multiple TI&SC function subject matter experts and leaders, such as Process Development, TCR, Packaging, SRA, QSE, SC, FM, CPS to identify fit-for-purpose concepts and protocepts, which could be then deployed through viable sustainable solutions into the markets.
Focus Areas
Key areas of focus of this role can be summarized as follows:
Shape future back innovation strategies (product, package, and platforms) and build a high impact pipeline that drives business growth, productivity, and continuity.
Partner with Research to Experimentation teams to design and scale next generation category solutions through rigorous technical due diligence, including clinical trials, consumer research, and scientific validation.
Work with global and regional SRA teams to proactively secure novel ingredient approvals across key agencies (FDA, EFSA, etc.).
Build and deliver robust Ingredient Productivity Pipeline aligned to category and OU priorities.
Lead product and package innovation to create consumer relevant, advantaged solutions that fuel long-range growth.
Strengthen technical rigor and ensure all innovation is grounded in consumer insights, business model viability, and emerging technology trends.
Continuously enhance ways of working to improve efficiency, prioritization, and digital acumen across the team.
Establish clear processes and routines that embed cross functional collaboration into innovation strategy, portfolio planning, and execution.
Monitor the external landscape to identify risks, opportunities, and disruptive signals, bringing the outside in to shape future solutions.
Orchestrate a connected R&D network to optimally resource innovation activities across markets and geographies.
Build a future ready strategic R&D agenda that aligns with category and OU strategies, focusing resources on high impact “Big Bet” initiatives.
Foster a culture of experimentation, manage budgets effectively, and ensure all initiatives align with business priorities and long-term plans.
Build organizational capabilities to enable sustainable, long-term system growth in the region.
Ensure quality, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across all labs and technical programs.
Establish strong partnerships within the Singapore ecosystem and leverage external networks to accelerate innovation and speed to market.
What You’ll Do
Innovation Leadership:
Drive Big Bet innovations to deliver against metrics
Lead the design and front-end development to ensure full value of initiatives built around consumer needs and deliver full value across the enterprise.
Provide inspirational thought leadership and enable implementation of innovation pipelines for competitive advantage.
Leverage routines to ensure early engagement and inclusion of other TI&SC, Marketing and CPS functions
Ensure organizational alignment in the design and execution of innovation activities
Advanced collaboration skills: Ability to develop and maintain value added relationships with multiple constituencies including GDI global network leaders, Coca-Cola system leaders and associates; bottlers; customers; suppliers; external stakeholders at multiple levels.
Lead development of clear case for change, desired outcomes, accurate scope, clear roles and decision-making, and effective communication of the change.
Ensure external connection with Bottlers and suppliers to understand needs and share plans, to fully leverage their capability and support internal stakeholders in trade associations to address industry challenges
People Leadership:
Build, lead and develop a highly engaged GDI network as well as leading a direct team (leader of leaders).
Manage resources effectively, including leading the allocation and prioritization of activities, budget requirements, performance management, and assessing development needs.
Stakeholder Management:
Build relationships and networks with key stakeholders across the organization.
Technical Leadership:
Play a key role as a leadership member to ensure the Technical Community is providing optimal thought leadership, strong business value and delivering on our commitments to the business from our functional responsibilities.
Communication Focus
This role communicates internally with the GDI network, Global Category Marketing, ASP OU teams, and Global TI&SC teams. External communication with Bottlers, suppliers, trade associations, Singapore EDB and eco- systems.
Communication and engagement with multiple key stakeholders to gain agreement on the short- and long-term category strategies for TCCC.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s/ Master’s in Food Science, Engineering, or related field.
Over 15 years working experience in food and beverage industry with over 10 years of F&B related innovation and technical development experience including product development, pipeline creation and management, competitive landscaping, and beverage technology development.
Strategic thinking, leadership and extensive experience in consumer-centric R&D, leveraging technical and competitive insights to deliver consumer value, IP strategy, and robust business cases.
Portfolio management to help focus on areas of greatest opportunity
Experience interacting with, influencing, and providing guidance to senior executives on substantive issues in a complex portfolio / matrixed business.
Orchestrator and integrator – ability to orchestrate and integrate across the organization lines, regardless of reporting relationships. Proven track record of leading teams and projects, particularly in situations lacking the back-up of direct line management authority.
Stakeholder management, with the ability to drive strategic agreements with internal and external system partners around the world.
Ability to manage over multiple time horizons to establish robust multi-year innovation plans and team and community development plans.
Experience in managing large team and remote team.
Leadership experience in leading large-scale global and regional R&D programs to deliver growth, continuity, or productivity.
Business Operating Unit Experience.
Global experience with oversea working time more than 18 months
Language proficiency: Native or Business fluency in English.
Travel requirement: Ability to travel up to 25% of the time for business needs.
