As our Designer, you will be the champion of our brand’s visual identity; steering, styling and helping define the Hmlet brand experience across our websites, apps and digital platforms.
The role will be diverse, and you’ll be leading a variety of work from designing brand collaterals, playbooks, swags, events ideation, to lending a creative mind to help shape brand and marketing strategies. The role is ideal for someone comfortable in all elements of graphics and visual design.
You will be responsible for:
Spearhead the brand’s visual identity
Conceptualise, strategise & execute content and design to elevate the brand’s narratives across different formats and channels
Develop and strengthen brand assets including style and brand playbooks and guidelines
Quality control to maintain the visual integrity of Hmlet through close attention to detail
Working closely with the broader marketing team to deliver collaterals for marketing, community and campaigns on time
Develop/drive design solutions (process flows, sketches, scenarios, wireframes, navigation models, visual design) across all projects.
Video editing and design for interactive applications for web, tablet, and mobile
Conceptualise iconic creative and content - both proactively and in response to business requirements, and take them from ideation right through to delivery
Uncover meaningful insights to create authentic community driven stories and content
Maintain a set of design best practices and guidelines to reduce and minimise production efforts
Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics, after effects, and layouts
Proactively identify opportunities to introduce innovation to existing marketing materials and development processes - including being current on design trends, tools and technology platforms.
Create and curate collaterals for a wide range of media like website, rich-media social content, online ads, marketing collaterals, posters etc
Take ownership of projects - both proactively and in response to business requirements, and take them from ideation right through to delivery
The skills, attitude and experience we require are:
A minimum of 4 years in a visual and/or graphic design role
Up to date with industry-leading software and technologies like Adobe Creative Cloud, namely Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Acrobat. Hands-on experience in Figma and Sketch. Experience in After Effects and Invision is a plus.
Excellent creative instincts with a solid understanding of design, photography, typography, and layouts – passion or interest in interior design will be beneficial
Ability to storyboard, comp visual ideas within the creative process
Experience with end-to-end UI/UX design process from user research to wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, prototyping, testing, continued iterations and tracking of results.
Motion graphics & animation experience with After Effects and Premiere
Experience editing various video projects and inserting sound effects, music and transitions
Independent, self-motivated yet loves to collaborate
Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality
Strong ability to communicate and present ideas
Professional in managing time and deadlines
Tertiary qualified in Visual Arts or Design or a related field
