IT Server Engineer/System Administrator (woodlands)
Responsibilities:
Responsible for operational support (Incident management, Change management, Problem management), front-line management of incidents or escalation points, and provide proactive & preventative analysis for sites for core computing system hardware, operating system solutions and database systems.
Assist with prioritization in dealing with multiple simultaneous incidents while effectively communicating/escalating all known issues and resolutions to relevant stakeholders.
Remote support for building and maintaining the Infrastructure for highly critical applications in datacenter environment.
Continually working to improve operations by reducing the cases, minimizing escalations and evolve the computing environment to meet future demands.
Provide system performance metrics reports and dashboards for computing environment
Work with Subject Matter experts (Level 3) for improvement projects to ensure security, availability, performance, interoperability and reliability of the computing resources.
Develop, Review and Maintain Standard operating procedures and technology standards documentations for supported Infrastructure technologies
Able to present and communicate effectively on key findings to peers, management and other stakeholders to maintain positive and effective relationships.
Flexibility to work on rotating shifts (24/7 onsite shift support) to support remote sites)
Compile Reports - Passdown Shift and Monthly Report
Adhere to the Shift timings for the assigned shift
Requirements:
Masters / Bachelors Degree with good honors in any Computer Science/Engineering field or an equivalent degree.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Passion to tackle business problems with application of technology
Good communication and interpersonal skills with a problem-solving attitude
Academic know-how or internship experiences in the Infrastructure domain of IT with Knowledge of management
