We’re looking for a SOX controller who will help support the companies SOX roll out plan in Asia Pacific and the Group who will not only assist in testing the controls in the business, but develop effective and efficient automated processes for finance and transform the ways of working for the business.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyse the business records, accounting systems, financial statements and company assets
- Evaluate relevant risks, determine financial status and operating performance, and prepare audit reports
- Propose recommendations to manage risk and improve business results for identified business units.
- Conduct testing and analysis of specified areas using samples and other data to prove evidence of / absence of risk by comparing to company policies and procedures, best business practices and industry benchmarks
- Assess financial operations and make best-practices recommendations, with the SOX Office Manager which ensures efficiency and use of accepted accounting procedures.
- Identify reportable issues, the suitability of internal controls, the scope of risk and recommend ways to reduce costs, enhance revenues, and improve profits
- Develop your SOX experience under the guidance of the SOX Office Manager who has extensive knowledge in SOX system roll outs and processes
- Drive transformational change in the finance processes through automation of the various tasks
- Assist with Ad-hoc Finance transformation tasks as required by the Asia Pacific CFO
- Work closely with multiple teams and stakeholders across the APAC business units
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Internal Audit, Accounting or Informatics),
- With at least 2 years in an external/ internal audit role or business analysis
- Candidates with SOX audit experiences are most welcome
- Finance transformation projects experience is a plus
- Automation and coding experience for finance systems which will drive the businesses reliance away from manual processing and reporting
- Knowledge in excel Macro or analytics will be an added advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills which include a demonstrated thoroughness towards report writing
- Willingness and openness to learn the operations of the business
- The ability to pivot at any point to support the finance operation with ad-hoc tasks related to finance transformation.
