Summary
The Regional Auditor will plan and execute financial, operational, compliance audit engagements within Lidl's Asia's APAC region. This is a high visibility position involving regular interactions with senior management.

What you'll do
  • Assist Head of Internal Audit in preparing the risk based annual audit plan for APAC region
  • Plan audit engagements including performing risk assessments, developing audit programs and carrying out audit procedures independently or together with audit team based in Hong Kong or jointly with International Audit - Germany.
  • Prepare clear and concise internal audit reports, make presentations to Senior Management and follow-up on the implementation status of agreed recommendations.
  • Perform data analytics and assist in development of Control Self Assessments.
  • Provide advisory to stakeholders to improve internal controls, governance and risk management, where necessary.
What you'll need
  • A good Bachelor’s degree in related discipline  
  • Professional certification such as CA, CIA, CRMA, CFE or CISA
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience working in Big Four and / or internal audit
  • Industry experience from Retail / Sourcing business would be advantageous
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data analytics or RPA is ideal
  • Strong command of English and Mandarin. Knowledge of German is regarded favourably to liaise with some stakeholders and better execute ad-hoc work-related tasks
  • Analytical, detailed, and able to deliver quality work within a tight schedule with minimal supervision
  • Good team player, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willing to learn, possesses problem solving skills and able to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment
  • As this is a regional position, ability to travel at short notice and enjoys overseas assignments
