Responsibilities
- Manage the entire project and product lifecycle: budgeting, requirements discovery, request for proposal, vendor evaluation, selection, management approval, project execution, support, operations
- Be responsible for the key project management factors such as financials, contracts, licenses, vendors, scope, quality, effort, risk and timeline
- Collaborate widely across all participating teams and stakeholders in the project
- Identify and engage the appropriate subject matter experts to understand and solve complex issues and/or meet requirements
- Follow-through on IT governance processes in the company in relation to the project
- Ensure that the responsibility and accountability of all project deliverables and activities are clear and followed-through
- Ensure proper project governance processes and set up the appropriate forums and cadences
- Anticipate and manage project issues and risks
- Comply with internal audit requirements for the project
- Ensure that product features are prioritised in a way that balances business priorities and technical dependencies
- Be a champion of the documented user requirements, user interface and user experience, and ensure that they are adequately met by the vendor
- Review and approve the solution architecture and infrastructure architecture of the project or product
- Support key operational activities: incident management, deployments, preventive maintenance, operational reviews, continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Degree in Information Technology or Computing
- Minimum of 7 years in Digital or IT project delivery as a team lead, solution architect or project manager role
- Strong in project or digital product management practices, processes and tools
- Some experience in a technical support and operations role of an application or digital product
- Experience in agile project delivery is an advantage
- Functional experience: hospitality, travel, social media, bookings, payments, digital marketing, search engine optimization, UI/UX design
- Technology experience: solution architecture, infrastructure, security, systems integration, web applications with financial transactions, mobile applications, content management systems
- Being effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin will be an advantage; the candidate may be required to work closely with IT teams and vendors in the region
- Excellent team player, interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are pre-requisites for this role
