An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Electrical Project Manager - Switchgears to join a smart energy solutions provider. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about project implementation and delivery within the Transmission and Distribution sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects involving transformers, HV/MV/LV switchgears, and more.
What you'll do:
As a Project Manager, you will be entrusted with verifying project contract risks, reviewing profits, coordinating with various departments, solving problems during implementation, monitoring progress and costs throughout the life-cycle of each project. Your ability to connect with customers and regions will be crucial as you prepare, notify, and implement schedules as well as monthly and weekly work arrangements.
Verify the project profit and project contract risk points in the early stage of the project, and implement risk warning
Organise kick-off meetings at the beginning of large-scale project implementation, clarifying the responsibilities of all parties
Represent the company during client project meetings relating to commercial/technical discussions and other project-related matters
Formulate the overall plan and implementation plan of the project, managing from contract signing to product delivery and operation
Summarise and analyse common or major problems existing in the product delivery process, organising communication meetings and tracking handling results
Connect with customers and regions, preparing, notifying, and implementing the project schedule, monthly and weekly work arrangements
Solve problems during project implementation, distributing project incentives reasonably in the later stage
Monitor cost implementation during the project implementation
Create and maintain collection plans, informing Sales Department of collection at relevant milestones
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Project Manager role will bring a wealth of experience in project management within the electrical or engineering sector. You will have a proven track record of managing complex projects in the Singapore market or the SEA region. Your familiarity with import/export business processes, coupled with your proficiency in calculating company project profit and understanding contracts and risk management, will be key to your success in this role.
Bachelor's degree or above in Project Management, Electrical or Engineering Management
PMP Certificate would be highly advantageous
At least five years' related work experience
Product knowledge: Power and Distribution Transformers, MV switchgear (AIS/GIS), Low Voltage Switchgear assemblies or Energy Storage Systems would be highly advantageous
Ability to calculate company project profit (gross profit, net profit, margin) and excellent understanding of contracts and risk management
Chinese-speaking skills is an advantage due to the nature of the role
