A leading organiser of exhibitions and conferences across the world is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Sponsorship Sales Manager to join their vibrant and expanding team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to secure sponsorship and exhibition revenues for various events, with the chance to work on multiple projects throughout the year.
What you'll do:
As a Sponsorship Sales Manager, you will be at the heart of securing sponsorship and exhibition revenues for various events. You'll be responsible for executing B2B sponsorship and exhibition sales campaigns for assigned events and accounts. Your role will involve conducting market research, developing sales plans, identifying new leads, overseeing operational execution, and working closely with internal teams. You'll also have the opportunity to travel where relevant with the objective of re-signing or gaining commitment from sponsors and exhibitors for future events.
Conduct market research to understand vendor/client relationships relevant to your events
Consult with new and existing clients to identify needs, build demand, and sell show packages
Develop sales plans and coordinate ongoing sales initiatives
Take full ownership of allocated clients, revenue targets, new business development, and reporting
Identify and qualify new leads, inputting data into CRM
Oversee the administration and fulfilment of each sponsorship package sold in liaison with event operations
What you bring:
The ideal candidate has one to two years' experience in B2B conference sponsorship and exhibition sales. Your technical skills will include contract management, budget management, proposal writing, as well as experience using databases like Salesforce for mass and targeted sales campaigns. The ideal candidate is both analytical and creative, and capable of delivering efficiently and effectively against targets while ensuring a fantastic customer experience.
One to two years' experience in B2B conference sponsorship and exhibition sales
Technical experience with contract management, budget management, and proposal writing
Experience in using databases (preferably Salesforce) in both mass and targeted sales campaigns
Ability to cross-sell and up-sell opportunities and products
Focus on customer needs and seek win/win agreements
