Our client is seeking a highly skilled Programme Manager for a one-year fixed term contract based in Singapore. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a set of interrelated projects within the Libraries and Education Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating teams across various projects, managing programme budgets, and handling risks and issues that arise throughout the programme lifecycle. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and problem-solving acumen.

What you'll do:
As a Programme Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering the overall benefit of a Programme involving multiple interrelated projects. You will not only coordinate teams working on these projects but also define controls to manage them effectively. Your responsibilities will extend to planning the overall programme, monitoring its progress, managing budgets, and addressing any risks or issues that may arise. Furthermore, you will handle project interdependencies and resource management across different projects and programmes. Stakeholder management will also fall under your purview as you ensure deliverables are aligned across all projects.

* Manage the daily operations through the life cycle of the programme.
* Define the programme controls including processes, procedures, reporting, etc., to manage the programme.
* Plan the overall programme and monitor progress to ensure milestones are met across various projects and programmes.
* Manage the programme budget.
* Handle risks and issues that might arise over the course of the programme life cycle.
* Coordinate projects and their interdependencies within the programme.
* Manage resources across various projects and programmes.
* Manage stakeholders involved in the projects and programmes.


What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Programme Manager role brings a wealth of experience from previous roles within the IT industry. With at least five years' experience in similar roles, you have honed your skills in managing large-scale, complex projects and programmes. Your proficiency in using MS Project to manage complex programme schedules will be crucial in this role. You have a proven track record of leading globally positioned teams and implementing risk management practices within project teams. Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent are highly regarded, as is certification in risk management.

* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Programme Management roles within the IT industry.
* Strong practical experience in project management gained through managing large and complex projects and programmes.
* Certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), PRINCE2, Managing Successful Programmes or equivalent are highly regarded.
* Proficiency in managing complex programme schedules using MS Project.
* Experience in leading globally positioned teams.
* Experience in leading risk management practices within a project team – Certification in risk management such as Management of Risk (MoP) is highly regarded.
