Senior/Manager, Group Service Operations


Group Care Plan Operations Office


Group Service Operations (GSO) team will support the aspirations of the NUHS Care Plan by ensuring that high-valued assets are easily accessible and optimally utilised, across NUHS. GSO will work in partnership with the Group Clinical Operations (GCO) team and COOs to implement plans that enable the delivery of One Specialty, Multiple Sites modal of care through efficient management of high-valued assets and manpower. The work involves:

  1. Determining high-valued asset requirements to support the practice of 17 specialties across all sites.

  2. Developing a dashboard to capture high-valued assets strength, workload and utilisation across all sites and specialties, encompassing a live view status, along with past trends and predicted future trending.

  3. Identifying and harmonizing NUHS, and institutions, needs for an end to end command centre.

  4. Seeing through the smooth implementation of NGEMR Function Group 7 (operations track) modules within NUHS.

  5. SM, GSO will support the NGEMR NUHS FG7 Lead, which involves overseeing the preparation and go-live of the Cadence, Grand Central, HIM, PMPA and MPI in NUHS institutions and acting as the key point of contact with NHG counterparts.


Job Responsibilities
The Senior/Manager is expected to:

  • Support and work in partnership with institutions’ operations and Group Clinical Operations team to develop strategies for putting in place high valued assets and manpower to enable the achievement of One specialty, Multiple sites practice.

  • Support Group Directors in data analytics with the strategic intent to optimize assets and manpower utilization across NUHS entities.

  • Support Group Directors in the formulation of cluster-aligned strategies.

  • Support Group Directors to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement through the adoption of innovations and best practices across NUHS entities.

  • Collaborate with the Specialty Ops teams from the NUHS entities to plan and execute cluster-wide initiatives and projects to achieve strategic goals and priorities

  • Work in partnership with relevant teams to deliver on overall Group Operations Integration strategy, scorecards and KPIs.


Job Requirements

  • Degree in Health Sciences or Master’s Degree in Business Administration / Health Management or equivalent.

  • Project management experience such as PMP / CIPM is an advantage.

  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in administration / project management, with at least 3 years in the healthcare industry.

  • Ability to influence and lead others at different levels and from different functions.

  • Ability to translate high level strategy into implementable work plans and projects.

  • Ability to operate in a complex environment and adaptive to changing roles and priorities.

  • Excellent written, verbal and communication skills to manage all project related- communications, receptive to positive and negative feedback, willing and prompt in making changes.

  • Ensuring all initiatives/projects are being delivered on schedule.

  • Possess a strong business acumen, strategic and analytical thinking, root cause analysis and creative problem solving ability to present various ideas to internal NUHS stakeholders.
