Job Description

Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and talented Senior Ui/Ux Desinger to design and shape unique, user-centric products and experiences. The ideal candidate will have experience working with stakeholders, UX designers and developers. You will be able to make deliberate design decisions and to translate any given user-experience journey into a smooth and intuitive interaction. A strong portfolio of successful work and other projects is essential.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Be a great team player and collaborate closely with stakeholders, UX designers and developers.

  • Create, improve and use wireframes, prototypes, style guides, user flows, and effectively communicate your interaction ideas using any of these methods.

  • Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to development.

  • Conceptualise original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks       

  • Present and defend your design decisions. All your design decisions should be based on the overall design roadmap as well as your own design thinking and fundamental principles (i.e. colour theory, visual weight, etc.)

  • Continually keep yourself and the team updated with the latest changes in your industry’s standards.

  • Collaborate and communicate ideas with other team members and stakeholders.

  • Keep abreast of competitor and industry trends, ask smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 or more years of experience and proven record of accomplishment designing complex solutions for complete digital environments.

  • Minimum one year of UX design experience

  • Strong portfolio to be presented and defended during interview.

  • Hands-on experience creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, etc.

  • Expertise in standard design software (e.g. Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator, etc)

  • Basic understanding of front-end languages for mobile applications or web portals or both.

  • Ability to iterate UI designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.

  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas, and solutions to teams and stakeholders.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesising abstract ideas into visuals.

  • A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design and design thinking.

  • Creative ideas with problem solving mindset.

  • Be open to receiving objective criticism and improving upon it.

  • Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and stakeholders via a distributed model, to regularly deliver designs for approval.

  • Be passionate about resolving user pain points through great visual design.

  • Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism

  • Degree in related field
