The incumbent provides operational support to the department’s function in terms of monitoring performances and provision of insights for clinical quality indicators, such as SingHealth Balance Score Card, SGH Management Committee (MC), SGH Quality Council (QC) Quality and Patient Safety Indicators, Patient Safety Council Dashboard and Clinical Departments Clinical Quality Indicators (CQI).

 

The Executive is also expected to participate in quality improvement (QI) projects, as well as undertake administrative duties in support of the activities of the department.


Responsibilities:

Understand the nature and purpose of monitoring clinical data

- Develop appropriate methodologies for data collection in accordance to the inclusion and exclusion criteria

- Extract and analyse data from eHIntS

- Ensure data integrity and quality of data collected

- Case review of failed cases or cases that do not meet target

- Maintain detailed documentation of all processes, procedures and analytical findings

- Engage Patient Safety Officers (PSO) and Head of Department (HOD) to gather insights and improve underperforming indicators Engage PSO and HOD Revise methodology of reporting as required

Collate data and inputs from various data owners / stake-holders

- Provide insights for performance

- Submit reports to SingHealth OSM, SGH QN and MC

Enter data from various HOD reports into Division of Medicine’s reporting template in SGH

- Collaborate with Divisions to identify departments with underperforming indicators with aims to improve the rates

Work with the Data Analysts to automate the process of extracting, handling and processing data

- Create graphical representation of information and data through the use of available data visualization tools


Job requirements

a.     Educational / Professional Qualifications:

·     Nursing, Biomedical Science, Biological Science, Applied Science or any other degrees in healthcare

 

b.     Relevant Experience

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.

·       Proficient in the use of statistical and data analytic software.

·       Experience in quality, process improvement, data analytics, clinical audit, or patient safety would be an advantage.

·       Experience in the healthcare industry would be an advantage
