Our client is a large VC fund mainly focusing on the technology industry. This fund mainly does seed stage investments in Southeast Asia (with focus in Singapore, Indonesia and Vietnam). This is an investment role, mainly
focused on seed stage investments of 50k up to 1 million ticket size per cheque.
  
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  
Origination

  • Doing origination through multiple channels to help identify new investments, trends and opportunities

  • Deal screening: call and/or meet with prospects, evaluate opportunities

  • Network with others in Venture Capital Firms

  • Keep a deal pipeline and present internally to the decision makers

Perform Due Diligence

  • Commercial, financial, legal with internal / external support

  • Gather necessary information from the target company and industry experts

  • Research and talk to existing references and customers of the target company

  • Research potential competitors to the target company

  • Conduct background checks on the current management of the target company

  • Perform valuation analysis via modelling

  • Help preparing internal investment memos

Monitor / Manage portfolio companies

  • Manage portfolio company reporting, oversight, and operations

  • Work directly with management teams to help implement industry best practices in a variety of areas

(examples include organizational structure, employee compensation, financial reporting, sales execution,
and product road mapping)
  
REQUIREMENTS

  • 7 – 12 years’ experience

  • Top tier Education, preferably MBA

  • Geography coverage: Indonesia, Vietnam and Singapore

  • MBB Management Consulting experience

  • Relevant experience in Incubators / Accelerators

  • Major startups (Strategy, Product, Operations, COO/CEO Office, Corporate Finance)

  • Strong communication skills, strong domain knowledge, entrepreneurial, critical thinking, tech savvy
