- Establish the product’s technical vision and lead all aspects of technological development
- Hands-on management of the strategic direction, development and future growth.
- Evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms (including web application frameworks and the deployment stack) for delivering the company’s services.
- Lead strategic planning to achieve business goals by identifying and prioritizing development initiatives and setting timetables for the evaluation, development, and deployment of all web-based services.
- work with UX and tech team to develop the platform and have deep technical knowledge and strong managerial background.
Qualifications & Skills:
The successful candidate will:
- Have designed, launched and scaled consumer applications to thousands of users
- Has operated successfully in a “startup” kind of environment; i.e. with limited resources and relying on various partners
- Is technically superior, understands how to construct a system that performs reliably in real time and is highly secure
- Have 8+ years of demonstrated results in Software Development, Architecture and (Agile) project management, preferably with LAMP (e.g. PHP, MySQL, Zend Framework) and knowledge of relevant trends/technology
- Be familiar with high scalability transactional and marketplace environments
- Have proven track record in operating international platforms
- Be a hands-on leader with bias for action; e-commerce, data analytics or marketplace experience essential
- Be capable of leading and motivating a team
- Be fluent in English
