Front Office System Developer, Quant & Tech Modelling,

Global Financial Markets, Bank

 

The team:

• Global Financial Markets (GFM) offers a broad range of treasury products from Equity, Currency, Rates and Credit products in both cash and derivatives. GFM provides total solutions to serve Bank’s clients' hedging and investment needs with a regional emphasis, helped by our cutting-edge risk management technology and systems.

 

• Front office quant developer team architects and develops quantitative trading systems to support GFM’s sales and trading business across vanilla and exotic derivatives and structured products for all asset classes. We utilize latest computing technologies to achieve high performance and productivity, supported by in-house quantitative models. As part of the trading group, we are key participants in the revenue-generating activities of multiple trading desks.

Responsibilities:

Build modern quant pricing engines using Cloud/Microservice/API technologies

• Gather requirement from traders, build features/applications/APIs in C# / Python / C++

• Optimize performance of quant models & systems

• Investigate and resolve SIT/UAT/Prod defects

• Drive end-to-end software development life cycle

• Sit on trading floor and collaborate with traders and quant modellers

• Collaborate closely with bank’s IT engineering teams

 

Requirements:

• A good degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field is required.

• Strong programming skills in object-oriented language (e.g. C++ / C# / Python) is required.

• Working experience in distributed computing (AWS, Microservice, API, Redis, CUDA, Linux) is a big plus.

• Experience in profiling tools, source control and continuous integration is preferred.

• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL is a plus.

• Knowledge in financial engineering is a plus.

Willing to work in fast-paced front office (trading floor) under tight deadlines is required.

• Good communication and analytical skills are required.

• Must be dependable and self-motivated.
