Job Purpose
Within the Banking Finance team, there is a need for a Business Support Analyst to coordinate and provide support for BAU and projects for multiple Finance applications.
The broad job accountabilities of the chosen candidate would be as follows:
Drive and Support BAU, enhancements, and tech upgrades
Work with the user community and drive the successful delivery of new initiatives across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Support initiatives for productivity and identify opportunities to improve accuracy of information – generated either internally or initiated by external users and progress them to closure.
Key Accountabilities
1. Ensure business design for all new requirements are standardized and in line with the organization’s data flow strategy.
2. Manage BAU, new initiatives, system improvements, implementations for the assigned business verticals with clear principles around prioritization of requirements and management of implementation timelines.
3. Build SME knowledge to be able to perform impact assessment on multiple Finance applications based on systems changes and design appropriate testing approach.
4. Continuously evaluate current design/architecture and identify opportunities for improvement.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
• Drive the day-to-day operations of multiple Finance applications, resolving issues, and be the primary point of contact for the finance user community.
• Drive Business Finance user queries, clarifications and requests promptly. Provide guidance to users.
• Manage data issues on an end-to-end basis – from logging an issue to facilitating solution, tracking through the issue to closure.
• Manage projects for multiple Finance applications on an end-to-end basis.
• Identify areas for improvement, optimisation and standardization in the normal course of work to streamline current processes and improve accuracy, ensure completeness and reduce turnaround time
• Collate and rationalise all stakeholders’ requirements and walkthrough these requirements with Middle Office Technology (MOT) team.
• Actively partnering with the MOT in the solutioning process to ensure that the business solutions being implemented are thought through from a long term, standardization, design for no operations, front-end configuration perspective.
• Assess and propose appropriate testing approach and sign off criteria to stakeholders and get concurrence.
• Overall UAT management in terms of UAT timeline and managing the tester’s testing result.
• Prepare proper documentation on the data flow, design, business solutioning and testing approach in accordance with predefined template.
• Support transitioning of this application to the new platform/new initiatives under implementation.
Required Experience

3. Ability to work in a team consisting of stakeholders from different areas including user community from requirements gathering and testing perspective, technology teams from a development, rollout perspective.
4. Eye for detail and diligence in documentation
5. Fundamental accounting knowledge around banking products.
6. Strong analytical, communication and project management skills
7. Well versed in Microsoft Excel, MS Access, PowerPoint, Word/ Office 365 applications.
8. Knowledge / hands-on experience of People soft General Ledger application would be an added advantage.
9. 3 to 5 years of experience working in the financial services industry
10. Prior experience of working in a banking industry would be preferred.
11. Familiar with working in the financial systems space in the Bank organizational context would be an added advantage.
Education / Preferred Qualifications
1. Accounting degree with a fundamental knowledge around banking products.
2. Business degree with Accounting/Finance major with a fundamental knowledge around banking products.

Technical Competencies
• Able to interpret and understand the system processes in a logical manner would be an added advantage.
Work Relationship
• Principal stake-holders would be the end user teams across finance and downstream systems which receive data from the supported application.
• Would be working with peers who would be owning other Banking Finance Platform applications – OFP / PSGL / HFM / Hyperion etc.
• Would need to work closely with the MOT Finance team supporting the Finance applications – covering both development & production support teams.
• Collate and manage all the details regarding the application for the assigned business vertical
– information could span from details of systems interfacing, content of the various data being posted, data held within the application etc.
• Support user community on business queries and guidance on better usage of the system on daily BAU activities.
• Clear understanding the scope of the project, the changes associated and support the Project Manager in impact assessment. Clearly document the rationale for projects where no impact is assessed.
• For project where there is an impact, play a governance role in ensuring that the design (in terms of the level of information required from source to core processing is aligned with the strategic data flow strategy.
