Job Description
A. Strategic Planning, Management and Optimisation: Develop, execute regional infrastructure strategies aligned with global HQ IT goals and business needs in alignment with business case. Oversight Country Group Infrastructure & Cloud operate budgets, resources, and infrastructure projects. Identify opportunity and discovery on area to improve, materialize saving opportunities through discovery for both SCM and non-SCM areas, driving efficiency and effective operations., reduce costs, and enhance the performance and capabilities of the regional infrastructure.
B. Risk Management & Oversight: Drive the independent monitoring and management of infrastructure across Core Markets & International Centers. Proactively assess, identify, pre-empt, review, and report risk issues, including operational, security, and compliance risks. Collaborate with countries and service domain Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to track and ensure timely remediation of identified risks. Perform thematic reviews to ensure ongoing infrastructure health and security. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls to safeguard regional infrastructure assets.
C. Standardization, Compliance & Resiliency: Ensure operational standardization across all regional countries based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) from HQ Service Towers, promoting process alignment. Enforce and align key controls and compliance processes with group standards and guidelines across the region. Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness, continually improve and strengthen resiliency through discovery and mapping of core market infrastructure and automation.
D. Collaborative Team Leadership: Oversight, mentor and foster in-country infrastructure engineers to strengthen risk and compliance culture, cultivate continuous improvement, problem-solving, and technical excellence.
E. Project Management: Drive and oversight infrastructure projects from inception to completion, including upgrades, migrations, and new deployments, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
F. Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices and policies across all regional infrastructure. Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and internal standards, strengthening control and oversight in core countries and international centers.
G. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with HQ Service Tower, operations and application teams, business units, and external vendors to understand requirements, resolve issues, and communicate infrastructure status and plans.
H. Responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating IT project teams to achieve project implementation on schedule and within budget
I. Prepare and track project budget, track detail project plan/activities, organize Project Steering Committee (PSC) meetings and Project Portfolio meetings
L. Engage senior stakeholders to discuss and address project issues and risks
M. Collaborate with Business Project Manager (BPM), business users, various technical teams and vendor throughout
N. Drive and manage project end to end delivery including requirement, design, testing, deployment
O. Plan test strategy and coordinate defects review, bug fixes, re-testing and closure within project timeline
P. Perform regular quality assessment, submit quality checklist, testing and defect executive summary
Required Experience
1 Diploma/bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field;
2 5-15 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least [5] years in banking/financial sector, preferably with exposure to core markets and international centres or regional role.
3 Demonstrated ability to drive cost-saving initiatives, operational efficiencies and performance optimization.
4 Demonstrable experience in IT risk management, including risk assessment methodologies, control implementation, and incident response.
5 Oversight and monitor of infrastructure, assess, identified, pre-empted, reviewed and report risk issues, collaborate and track for timely remediation with countries and service domain SME.
6 Proven expertise in managing diverse infrastructure environments with good understanding of networking principles, server virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), storage solutions, and cybersecurity best practices.
7 Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage stakeholders across different regions and functions.
8 Self-starter, motivated, performance-oriented individuals with keen desire to pick up new skills, continuous development and improvement attitude.
9 Ability to work as an individual and as a team in a pressure fast-paced environment.
10 Able to multitask and handle different workload and priorities.
11 Ability to travel within the region as required.
12 Experience with ITIL frameworks, project management framework such as agile, waterfall SDLC, service management principles.
13 Possess strong analytical skill with good working knowledge of Microsoft Power-point (must have), Microsoft Excel (must have), Microsoft Power BI (Good to have), Machine Learning TensorFlow (Good to have) are advantageous.
