Responsibilities:

Data Analysis: Perform comprehensive data analysis on deposits, wealth management, and customer segments to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business growth and optimization.

  • Work with large amount and complex data sets to evaluate, recommend and support the implementation of consumer products’ business strategies.

  • Be familiar with and have full engagement on the various platforms and systems to which Decision Management needs to scope in the data-related and/or data-driven business requirements.

  • Perform analytics and apply data science in the development and application of segmentation rules, automation, and process optimization to facilitate business decision making.

  • Partner with product teams to identify new growth opportunities, devise solutions and continuously enhance data capabilities to support growth.

  • Perform Incentives and referrals computation and drive Sales Analytics capabilities.

Customer Insights: Extract meaningful customer insights from data analysis to enhance customer segmentation strategies, identify cross-selling opportunities, and improve customer engagement and loyalty.

  • Be proactive in any digitization and data-driven solutions to improve capabilities, processes and systems of the department.

  • Collaborate and work closely with business units to understand, clarify and interpret business dashboards and data analytics for effective portfolio monitoring and prompt business problems solving.

Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance metrics related to deposits, wealth management, and customer segments to assess business performance, identify areas of improvement, and support data-driven decision-making.

  • Business data enrichment through understanding and using new internal and external data sources for analytics to unlock new insights for the consumer business.

  • Partner with peer analysts and business units to improve BAU activities and implement new initiatives ; Optimize effectiveness and ROI of business activities through executing, tracking, learning and fine-tuning.

  • Complete loop of analytics lifecycle.

Reporting and Visualization:

  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise, and visually appealing reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate insights, trends, and performance metrics to senior management and relevant stakeholders.

Strategy Development:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to the development and refinement of business strategies for deposits, wealth management, and customer segments based on data insights and market trends.

Predictive Modeling:

  • Utilize statistical modeling techniques to develop predictive models that enable accurate forecasting, customer behavior analysis, and risk assessment for deposits and wealth management activities.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with business stakeholders, including product managers, marketing teams, and segment managers, to understand their analytical needs, provide support, and guide decision-making processes.

Industry Research:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in the banking and wealth management sectors to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.

The following are key responsibilities based on function/ engagement: 

Enhance Shareholders'’ Value (Financial)

  • Provide support on managing analytics requirements on Consumer Banking portfolio, overseeing various analytics platforms and systems, ensuring processes run optimally and in an automated fashion. 

Internal Business Process

  • Evaluate stakeholders’ needs and create plan of action to provide solutions.

  • Provide stewardship and custodianship on the regular tasks, dashboards, jobs, and deliverables for the Deposits, Wealth and Segments portfolio, creating, updating and automating tasks and enhancing outputs and DataMart.

  • Develop and review decision management, marketing, campaign and strategy models to implement managed business growth in line with the direction of the business.

  • Establish, monitor and manage end-to-end portfolio, business management and business strategy activities through the application of Analytics, Decision Management Infrastructure and Business Intelligence. 

  • Engage, collaborate, and work with appropriate business enablers including, but not limited to, IT, RPA, Platform Efficiency and Operation and Service excellence to further understand and establish the business processes and systems to further drive automation and optimization.

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline

  • Proficiency in using analytical tools and languages such as SAS, SQL, Python or similar tools

  • Familiarity with Deposits, Wealth Management, and Customer Segmentation concepts and practices

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders

  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry compliance standards in the banking sector is preferred

Relevant Work Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in data analytics and decision science domain

  • Strong analytical skills and good knowledge of the banking industry, especially in Consumer Business area, covering Deposits, Wealth Management and/or Customer Segments

  • Background on Data Science, Machine Learning

  • Background on Infrastructure, Data Engineering is a plus

  • Self-motivated team player with strong communication skills and presentation skills

  • Working knowledge of SAS, MS SQL, Python, R and Microsoft Office suite and data visualization tools etc.

Competencies/Skills

  • Proficient in SAS, SQL, Python, R Programming and MS Excel

  • Proficient in Business Intelligence tools (Tableau)

  • Must be able to solve problem quickly and efficiently

  • Strong analytical and communication skills
