The Role:

The Digital Marketing Manager contributes to the realisation of the organisation’s business strategies by driving its digital marketing and integrated marketing communications (IMC) strategy, developing go-to-market product positioning strategy, generating data-driven insights and monitoring budgets. The candidate develops roadmaps for new and existing products and services, determines marketing strategies and is responsible for the development and curation of offline and digital content. The Digital Marketing Manager leads a team of marketing professionals with varying skills and abilities to carry out the marketing strategies to support business outcomes.

The Digital Marketing Manager works in a fast-paced, dynamic and digitally-centric environment where he or she is expected to lead the development of appealing marketing concepts to promote the organisation and its products.

The candidate is an innovative, energetic, collaborative and highly adaptable team leader. The candidate is digitally-savvy and possesses a strong business acumen, strong interpersonal skills and a high level of initiative.

The Responsibilities:

Establish, implement and manage digital marketing and integrated marketing
communications (IMC) strategies

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of digital marketing and IMC strategies for the company’s products and services, taking into account economic indicators, identifying customers and their current and future needs and monitoring the competition

  • Plan and execute all web, SEO/SEM, database marketing, email, social media and display advertising campaigns; may need to work with agency

  • Design, build and maintain the company’s social media presence

  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies

  • Manage the development and curation of offline and digital content and collaterals, ensuring that the content is relevant and accurate

  • Develop go-to-market product positioning strategy and roadmaps for new and/or enhanced products and services

  • Analyse market segments to develop new target customers and develop initiatives to drive engagement with target profiles and improve client experience

  • Determine targets of key performance measures to evaluate effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns vs outcomes and marketing costs incurred, and recommend improvements by optimising marketing spend and performance

  • Develop budgets and track marketing ROI; optimise spend on digital media

Formulate data-driven market and client insights

  • Determine market and competitor research objectives, approaches and tools

  • Utilise strong analytical ability to evaluate end to end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points

  • Identify critical conversion points and drop off points and optimise user funnels

  • Ensure the application of data-driven insights to guide the development of marketing plans and activities

  • Evaluate viability of changes and/or new ideas to marketing efforts

Manage partnership marketing and marketing vendors

  • Develop relationships with partners and vendors to leverage on their network and reach to support marketing objective

  • Determine growth opportunities across target segments and implications on partnerships

  • Evaluate suitability of partners and vendors for marketing initiatives

  • Negotiate contract details as required

  • Analyse effectiveness and return on investment from partners and vendors to determine renewal of partnerships

Participate in product development and enhancement

  •  Participate in the conduct of product feasibility studies

  • Plan product testing approach and activities with sales and technology teams to obtain feedback

  • Analyse feedback from product testing and communicate findings to technology teams

Experience and Qualifications:

  •  Degree in marketing or a related field

  • Proven track record and experience in marketing or digital marketing

  • Demonstrable experience in leading and managing SEO/SEM, online and social media campaign

  • Good working knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools, HTML, CSS, JavaScript development etc

  • Experience in B2C sectors such as Education, Retail or Hospitality will be an advantage

  • Proficient in market research and analysis
