Overview
The Social Media Lead strategizes and executes innovative, delightful and impactful social media content for brands. This role will play both the strategist and creative in our agency on whom the multi-practice teams rely on to develop thumb-stopping and meaningful content that generates brand love and affinity for our clients.
The Social Media Leads builds his/her content strategy based on deep customer insights and innovative use of social media channels. Whatever the client’s objectives may be - be it in awareness building, converting prospects or in loyalty nurturing - the Social Media Lead inspires our clients to elevate their brand experiences for their customers on social media channels.
This role is for GrowthOps Singapore. However, we are open to applicants based elsewhere with deep experience working across Southeast Asia.
Required Experience & Attitude
Social Media Content Maven
You have a strong background either in creative or strategy development on the agency side with deep experience in using social media channels like Reddit, TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin, Facebook, etc.
Your strategic output will exhibit finesse in tackling client business objectives through robust customer research and best-in-class touchpoint planning; teeing up a spark for brilliant, engaging executions across diverse media channels and creative planning.
You have a genuine love and passion for being involved in the development of creative content production - from memes to 3D animation, influencer vlogging and full scale video production.
You have experience in either one of the following:
Conceptualised/wrote/designed award winning social media content
Ran two very successful award-worthy regional/global social media campaigns
Conceptualized and/or art-directed social media assets as part of a rebranding or new brand development project
You’re digitally savvy and resourceful. You do not need to know how to code but you’re incredibly savvy and resourceful in sourcing out DIY platforms on the internet that aid in the development of mock-ups, low fidelity wireframes, animation, etc.
You keep yourself upskilled and updated with best-in-class and award winning content and creative strategy.
You have a passion for brand building through story-telling.
You have an eye for details and visual design.
You’re an active user of TikTok, Instagram, Twitter and/or Reddit.
You’re an avid consumer of popular culture and creative content.
You have two eyes for details and have a strong bias towards multidisciplinary strategic plans that are tightly woven across different phases of a customer’s journey.
You have a strong opinion of how social media channels can be used to build brands and business strategy.
Scope of responsibilities
You will work with our media team to bring rigor to the way social media campaigns and programmes are designed for our clients
It’s important that you come with a solid understanding of how to identify and analyse social media metrics that matter and subsequently present and implement an actionable feedback loop for ongoing improvement. Familiarity and working experience with any of the big social media/ brand listening tools such as Social Bakers (Emplify), Brandwatch, Talkwalker, etc., would be ideal.
You will play a critical role in leading social media and creative pitches across a wide range of verticals and are not afraid to push the team to deliver better work with each new pitch and project.
You develop new frameworks for writing creative content pillars and designing user journeys on social media
You will grow our social media accounts by being the social media strategist that plan and follows through on execution by organising regular WIPs with the creative and client servicing teams
From time to time, there will be unusual projects where social media may play more of a strategic role such as product market fit testing, employer branding campaign, product innovation and market research initiatives. In such cases, you will be expected to lead conversations with stakeholders on how social media channels can be utilised effectively in such projects.
Be a champion for integrated, growth-focus strategy
As the Social Media Lead, you will set the tone, pace and approach for developing an integrated creative strategy across all our relevant projects.
You will proactively look for opportunities to cross-promote social media channels as an innovative channel for brand building work.
You are comfortable presenting agency’s work and strategy to senior clients.
You’re excited to train, grow and nurture a team of junior social media managers.
