Job Title: Finance Executive

As the Finance Executive at MIJ Hub, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders on budget planning and financialß projections, manage cash flow, ensure compliance, and develop financial policies. Your responsibilities will also include performing financial analyses, supporting audit activities, and overseeing financial tasks for the company and its subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business partnering with internal stakeholders on their annual budget plan, financial projections.

2. Responsible for (i) Cash flow management - initial capital expenditures, bank reconciliations, and cash forecasts; (ii) preparing pre-opening budgets, forecasts, and financial plans; and (iii) assisting in the development of financial reporting templates and tools for ongoing operations.

3. Execute, oversee and be responsible for the Accounting and Finance operations for the organization (includes day-to-day operations), ensure that all financial data and processes are aligned with objectives and that all compliance and reporting requirements are met at all times.

4. Develop and implement financial/accounting policies, procedures, and controls.

5. Perform monthly and year-end financial closing activities and provide analysis of actuals vs budget.

6. Evaluate the financial performance of the organization and measure returns on investments (if any).

7. Provide financial insight and analysis to drive the business performance of the organization.

8. Understand and calculate the risks involved in the financial activities of the organization.

9. Prepare detailed financial statements and assist with audit-related documentation.

10. Ensure compliance with both statutory and company-specific regulations. Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretary, bankers and relevant external parties.

11. Support any ad-hoc projects, tasks and new processes when required and as assigned to Finance related areas.

12. Manage end-to-end financial subsidy processes for stakeholders.

13. Other finance related tasks relating to other entities as part of the company’s subsidiaries.

Requirements

  • 1. Possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or a related field (Chartered Accountant qualification is a plus).

  • 2. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, audit experience is a plus.

  • 3. Proficiency in financial software (Xero preferred) and advanced Excel skills. Experience with financial data visualization tools is advantageous.

  • 4. Strong sense of curiosity to gain knowledge of business operations, objectives, strategies, process, and information flow.

  • 5. Resourceful, self-motivated, independent and adaptable to rapid changes.
