Lead Cloud Engineer, SC Ventures

Purpose

SC Ventures ideates, experiments and creates Ventures to operate their unique business models in stand-alone subsidiary entities.The process heavily relies on developing software platforms and integrated systems to deliver these new services – in B2B, B2B2C and B2C models.

TheSCV Lead Cloud Engineerrole is instrumental in providing support to Ventures in their infrastructure building journey during incubation using Amazon Web Services platform operated in a secure manner and also adhering to SCV standards and design principles.

The roleacts also as a technical support and platform administrator liaison to for all AWS cloud management services matters between AWS accounts, SCV functional teams and Venture Tech teams.

The role also relies heavily on operational hands-on experience to deliver sound judgment and advise on “build” and “run” activities necessary for Ventures Leads to succeed in their business objectives and priorities.

Responsibilities 

Technical

Design and administer platform solutions, engineer POCs and operationalize CSP service offerings

Lead and support cloud centric platforms across AWS and Azure technologies

Configure AWS cloud centric environments such as SCPs, Config, SecurityHub, Guardduty, IAM, Cloudformation Stacksets, Inspector, Macie, Systems Manager, Trusted Advisor, Control Tower, Cloudwatch, Audit Manager

Configure Azure cloud centric environments such as Defender for Cloud/Endpoints, MCAS, Azure AD, Purview Compliance Manager

Be hands-on with Identity Management technologies such as Okta, Azure Active Directory, AWS SSO

Manage repository management tools in Github, Bitcuket

Use Python, YAML, JSON to code and API Management platform

Administer reporting platforms, such as Grafana, ElasticSearch desired

Deploy M365 using MDM (In-tunes),hardening EOL, SPO, OneDrive, Teams

Control deployment including SAST

Identify, troubleshoot and fix issues in the DevSecOps domain

Create and maintain relevant technical documentation and playbook

Support Venture operationalization activities including account hardening and transition tasks

Strategy

Stay ahead of CSP best practices with the aim of educating Ventures on latest market trends

Business

Support Venture operationalization activities including account hardening and transition tasks

People & Talent

Collaborate and educate team members on PaaS deployment landing zone methodology

Risk Management & Governance 

Design action plans to address CICD platform/tools/solutions’ control shortcomings

Monitor, measure and report Venture platform accounts on SCV service standards

Provide platform compliance violation guidance and follow-up with Venture tech/ics leads

Ensure resource tagging for cloud costs allocation with the aim of driving/supporting budgeting, governance and reporting

Assist Ventures to define monitor baselines such as health/utilization of platform resources

Skills & Competencies

Our Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or field, or equivalent work experience

10+ years working experience in cloud operations and engineering disciplines

5+ years working in DevSecOps capacity desired

5+ years of Information Security Operations desired

Advanced knowledge in Identity Management platform resolution

Proven experience through past projects and/or work involving AWS and Azure is essential

Problem-solving and collaborative skills across various Venture stakeholders(Tech, Architecture, ICS)

Strong knowledge in multiple cloud providers AWS and Azure service offerings

Familiarity with code management and pipeline secure deployment concepts is beneficial

Scripting experience (yaml, json, bash, powershell) will be highly regarded

Knowledge in data visualization and scorecard dashboard reporting is a bonus
