Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior Accountant will build and maintain our accounting policies and fiscal controls by using broad knowledge of accounting principles and practices. You will prepare financial and tax reports and take appropriate actions to safeguard our organization's assets. In this role, you will be conducting complex accounting activities across a region, business or multi-site group, responsible for accurate financial statements, conducting analysis, managing financial risks and maintaining control framework following established compliance requirements and policies.
 
 
Key Accountabilities
  • Apply accounting techniques and standard practices to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with US GAAP, local accounting standards and corporate policies.
  • Perform and coordinate tax reporting activities to ensure accurate and timely reporting and compliance with the requirements.
  • Partner with Controls COE, Shared Services teams and other Accounting and Finance teams to craft, implement financial controls and monitor effectiveness of controls in processes.
  • Assess and communicate information regarding business risks with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Estimate the potential financial consequences of an occurring loss.
  • Identify and implement process simplification, standardization and automatization of financial and tax reporting to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Finance or CA/ CPA equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of four years of hands on experience in managing full set financial statements, reporting and statutory audit of a large entity independently with minimum / no supervision.
  • Confirmed ability to learn and adapt to changes.
  • Ability to communicate, influence and build trust with partners at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Good financial analysis skills.

PRIOR BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCES
  • Minimum four years of work experience in Big Four accounting firms in Singapore.
  • Ability to work in a global, matrixed company.
  • Experience participating in moderately complex accounting activities across a country or multisite.
