This position is created to deliver data visualization analysis and reporting on commercial portfolio trends covering a broad view of Credit Risk, Lending Economics, and Business Processes. You will develop and deliver data visualization, advanced dashboard analytics, and insightful reporting to CROs, CFOs, and CEOs seeking to optimize performance of Commercial Banking’s $350+ billion credit portfolio.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Integrate data for exploratory analysis from multiple source systems by writing custom SQL against Hadoop database tables using Alteryx software. Work with subject matter experts to understand sometimes complex data relationships for scripting accurate workflows, and for preparing requirement documents and test cases as part of translating analysis scripts into dashboard data models.

  • Develop efficient data models using set analysis functions that allow processing large datasets across many dimensions  in dashboard software load scripts such as Qlik Sense, QlikView, or Tableau.

  • Develop dashboards that implement advanced analytical and statistical methods, and deliver visually intuitive results to a large and broad user base leveraging tools such as KPI, line charts, bar charts, combo charts, scatter plots, tree maps, and waterfall charts through user selectable containers. Elevate effectiveness of dashboards by working directly with users to easily visualize trends, exceptions, and business boundary constraints.

  • Interface with stakeholders in the U.S., India, and Singapore to understand their usability requirements and hone dashboards to address evolving business conditions and business strategies. 

  • Work across control governance, data delivery, and product teams to deliver analytics and visualizations to users in production under a robust data entitlements model and dashboard section access. 

  • Drive efforts to ensure that dashboards meet high expectations for quality control and consistency standards. Serve as a thought leader across various stakeholders and partner teams to advance brand design and delivery approaches.

 
Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree in analytics such as data science, statistics, econometrics, finance, mathematics, engineering, or computer science. Advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in data analytics, data modeling or similar data functions.

  • Proven expertise in data visualization techniques, illustrated by leading dashboard development including data modeling in Qlik Sense or Tableau is required. Prior experience modeling financial or credit data preferred

  • Hands-on expertise querying complex relational data using SQL scripting, Alteryx workflows, Qlik Sense load scripting with set analysis, or Python/R to aid product development or root cause analyses. 

  • Passion to understand the business and design data solutions that seek to address complex objectives.

  • Excellent communication skills to articulate approach and results, and ability to challenge assumptions with data evidence.
